Our role
We were engaged to conduct a background verification check of a candidate who had been offered a position as a financial planner with a large Australian bank.
Outcome
Our enquiries revealed that the candidate had fabricated an academic transcript for a qualification essential for the position. We identified that the candidate had copied the university letterhead from an offer letter and listed a number of subjects that were not offered by the relevant institution during the semesters and years stated. The candidate’s employment offer was subsequently withdrawn and the institution concerned commenced legal action against the student.
