Ciaran is a Director in our Corporate Finance practice in Dublin having joined PwC in 2000. He has 15 years of corporate finance experience gained from originating and executing M&A, equity capital market and valuation assignments in Ireland, the US, the UK, Spain and Latin America.
Previous transactions and assignments include:
- Advising the shareholders of a consultancy business on the sale of a minority interest
- Purchase price allocations under IFRS 3 on behalf of leading Irish plcs
- Valuation of the EMEA business of a US technology business in advance of its possible sale
- Advising the shareholders of a waste management company on the purchase and sale of a minority interest
- Valuation of a leading Irish mobile phone operator for a potential IPO
- The acquisition of the Limerick Leader by the Leinster Leader
- Advising a UK energy plc on a potential cross border JV
- Numerous valuation assignments for tax, dispute, fund raising and Companies Act purposes
Prior to PwC, Ciaran worked for ING Barings in London and New York. Selected transactions include:
- A UK financial regulatory body on the disposal of its interest in a consumer lending business
- BBVA of Spain : acquisition of Banco Continental of Peru
- Grupo Mexicano de Video : sale to Viacom
- The merger of BIC and Banco de Colombia : fairness opinion
- US stock exchange listings and debt & equity private placings for numerous Latin American issuers
