Internal Market and Services Commissioner Charlie McCreevy gave a speech on the Lamfalussy folow-up: future structure of supervision.
The European Commission adopted a proposal for a Directive on Consumer Rights. This Directive merges 4 existing EU consumer directives into one set of rules. It updates existing consumer rights, bringing them in line with technological change and strengthening provisions in the areas where consumers have experienced problems in recent years.
