Developing strategy in a networked world

There is no more powerful way than networks for businesses to communicate with and respond to each other and their customers. And those networks—all their variations—are changing today's global business landscape.

In a roundtable discussion at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting at Davos on Saturday, January 26th, 2008, a number of prominent business leaders offered their views on the current, and future, state of these rapidly changing networks.

Moderator Thomas A. Stewart was joined by:

  • Marc R. Benioff, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Salesforce.com, USA
  • Cristóbal Conde, President and Chief Executive Officer, SunGard, USA
  • Samuel A. DiPiazza Jr, Global Chief Executive Officer,PricewaterhouseCoopers, USA
  • B. Ramalinga Raju, Founder and Chairman, Satyam Computer Services, India
  • Michael E. Porter, Bishop William Lawrence University Professor, Harvard Business School, USA

Here is a brief account of the discussions.
