State estimates of the medicare prescription drug benefit on catastrophic spending

Under the new Medicare prescription drug benefit the risk of catastrophic out-of-pocket expenses in all 50 states and the District of Columbia is reduced. The details and a state-by-state analysis were prepared by PricewaterhouseCoopers for Medicare Today, a partnership of more than 200 organizations committed to informing consumers about the new drug coverage.
