The 2008 report on California’s biomedical industry is a collaborative effort between the California Healthcare Institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers. It offers a comprehensive overview of the impact of the biomedical sector on California’s economy and includes data on employment, wages, education and investment, as well as a snapshot of the product development pipeline. Data in the report draws from public sources and economic analysis conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as a survey of over 100 industry executives. Woven throughout the report are also perspectives and case studies from leaders in academia and industry.
