Working towards wellness: Global examples

Chronic diseases — mainly cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes — causes more than 60 percent of all deaths globally and is projected to account for two-thirds of all deaths globally in the next 25 years.

This report highlights successful examples of corporate wellness programs that target key risk factors for chronic diseases. Evidence from these companies, which represent a mix of countries and business sectors, shows that disease risk can be reduced through programs that address tobacco-free living, healthy eating and physical activity.
