Levels of confidence about revenue growth in this sector are very similar to the survey benchmark. However, the sector CEOs diverge somewhat when considering possible threats to their businesses

On this subject, consumer goods executives are less concerned about a downturn in major economies, overregulation and the lack of availability of key skills. They are more concerned about climate change. (42 percent), pandemics (37 percent) and, not at all surprisingly, the security of the supply chain (49 percent). Low cost competition is the most worrisome threat, with 55 percent indicating they were extremely or somewhat concerned. In the hierarchy of potential threats, terrorism is much less a concern, at only 25 percent.
