PricewaterhouseCoopers' Investigations and Forensic Services team is pleased to present the third biennial Global Economic Crime Survey 2005. It is based on interviews with more than 3,600 senior executives in 34 countries, including Bulgaria, and reveals their experiences with fraud, its causes and losses, their responses and recovery actions and the effectiveness of fraud prevention measures. In conducting this survey, we collaborated with Professor Bussmann of Martin-Luther-University, Halle-Wittenberg in Germany to further explore two topics: "the effectiveness of fraud risk management systems" and "the profiles of fraud perpetrators".
