The 6th Annual Global CEO Survey examines the challenging task for chief executive officers of anticipating and preparing for critical events as well as crafting successful strategies for their companies to prosper amidst different scenarios. No one could have anticipated the confluence of critical events that dominated 2002 - ongoing terrorist attacks on multiple continents, the protracted world economic downturn, and an unprecedented crisis in corporate governance.
We asked nearly 1,000 CEOs from 43 countries to step back from their daily challenges and to provide us with their thoughts, their hopes and fears, and their insights into how to lead through uncertain times. We asked them to share their strategies and tactics for coping with the concerns about war, with challenging capital markets, and with the erosion of the public trust.
