Economic Crime Survey 2005: India Report

The Economic Crime Survey identifies the growing menace of economic crime in India, whereby 54% of the respondent organisations from the country reported suffering from economic crime in the last two years as compared to 24% in the previous survey. Organisations in India, on average, reported suffering five fraud incidents in the last two years. Regardless of size, no company or industry, regulated or unregulated, was immune from fraud. The survey report also covers profile of a typical fraudster, preventive measures employed by the organisations, how was fraud detected and actions taken by organisations on discovery of fraud.
