The PricewaterhouseCoopers Family Business Survey 2007/08

PwC Family Business Survey - 2008We are proud to present the results of our first global Family Business Survey. This Survey aims to highlight the issues and concerns of family businesses across the globe, including South Africa.

A large proportion of our business in South Africa (and around the world) is generated by entities that are privately-owned, and more specifically, family-controlled. Running a family business is arguably more difficult than running any other kind of business, precisely because it involves family ties as well as commercial relationships. We trust that this survey will shed light on some of these issues.

This survey (and the SA supplement) give insight into:
  • Business challenges and priorities
  • Economic outlook
  • Skills shortage
  • Government policy and regulation
  • Ownership
