Latin America, a region with many cultures and economies, is a large emerging market that offers businesses in various industries significant growth opportunities. It is also a region where economic rewards and growth can be hindered by political uncertainty. However, there are multinational companies who are thriving in this region. To gain a better understanding of the economic characteristics of the Latin American marketplace, PwC invited a group of corporate executives of leading global companies to shed light on the inherent risks, investment structures, partnerships, due diligence and other key deal issues when doing a transaction in this region.

The roundtable discussion focused around each company’s investment approach, and covered a wide range of topics including:

  • Investment Strategy (joint ventures, acquisitions, green-field investments)
  • Risk and Mitigating Factors
  • Repatriation of Returns
  • Approach to Cultural Differences
