Working towards wellness: Measuring results

While rarely treated as a priority at the board level, wellness measurement is important to organizations across developed and developing nations. To achieve consistent and sustainable boardroom buy-in to wellness as a key strategic objective, organizations should develop a wellness measurement strategy that is simple to understand and consistent in its delivery.

The strategy should focus on lifestyle and health indicators that have the greatest potential impact on the prevention of chronic diseases. Data collection methods should build an accurate and complete picture of the organization, while data reporting and data management should be technologically advanced and clearly linked to key performance indicators (KPIs).
