Our clients operate in a large range of different industries such as retail and consumer, pharmaceuticals, engineering and construction, food, energy and utilities, and technology. In order to provide our clients with a comprehensive solutions package, our tax consultants regularly liaise with colleagues in the VAT, Customs and Human Resource Services groups. We also work closely with our colleagues in overseas offices, with audit teams and with our colleagues in legal services. Ultimately, we utilise this internal network of knowledge to assist us in bringing state of the art solutions to our clients.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Director for our Cork office. The successful candidate will specialise in advising indigenous corporate clients and high net worth clients. This role would involve reporting to the Tax Partner on a variety of consulting/compliance assignments.

The role is quite a general one in nature as it involves advising on both corporate and personal tax planning. Corporate clients are generally indigenous companies/groups. On the non-corporate part of the role, experience in redundancy programmes, PAYE health checks/Revenue audits is essential.

We are looking for the successful candidate to play a key role in our business, managing existing client relationships and developing new ones with a high level of autonomy. The candidate will also have d irect responsibility for the management and development of a team of tax professionals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate clients and high net worth clients
  • Maintaining and developing business contacts and new products and services
  • Participation in non-client projects and events
  • Share knowledge skills and experience
Education / Professional Qualifications:
  • AITI qualification

Experience Skills & Personal Qualities:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience at Director level
  • Managing Tax affairs of large multinationals of Irish & foreign jurisdictions
  • Strong focus on client development
  • You will thrive in an environment where teamwork is key and believe that the working environment should be flexible in meeting the needs of its people.

  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities
  • Excellent delegation skills and an ability to manage and develop junior members of the team
