Case study: Renewable energy services company

The issue

This client wanted to dispose of a 50% interest that it had in a renewable (wind) power company. Renewable energy was not one of this company’s core businesses, and they did not wish to fund the significant capital expenditures associated with this type of power in the near future.

The outcome

As a result of our expertise in advising the client of the proper value range of its renewable power company, it made a significant profit on the disposal. In fact, the high value achieved set a new landmark for wind power investments in this country.
