The issue
Following a merger, our client was considering a restructuring of its operations including the closure and sale of three chemical sites. PricewaterhouseCoopers was retained to review the environmental risks and rewards associated with the client’s restructuring programme, as well as to provide ongoing support.
Our approach
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ environmental health and safety specialists:
- Worked with management to develop and manage the closure programmes including resources and planning, real estate issues, technical and business risk assessments, documentation, and coordination with regulators
- Supported discussions and negotiations for the sale of the three closed chemical sites, including providing input into the sale and purchase agreements and other contractual documentation
- Developed a merger and restructuring strategy focused on key priorities
The outcome
With PricewaterhouseCoopers' help, the client was able to ensure that value from the restructuring programme was realised quickly and efficiently.
