Ireland's leading professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers today launches its 2005 edition of "Doing business and investing in Ireland". The publication is a unique reference source for potential investors to Ireland and is compiled by a team of PwC's inward investment specialists, drawing on their extensive knowledge and experience of the critical issues faced by both first time investors to Ireland and businesses expanding to respond to opportunities in the global operating environment.
Launching the publication, Micheál Martin, TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment said:
"Ireland's economy continues to outperform, both by reference to its eurozone colleagues and the expanded EU Member States. This success is enhanced by the high levels of investment and re-investment by multinational companies. Government will continue to play its part in the continued development of Ireland as an excellent place in which to do business. This important publication is a helpful tool for potential investors to do business in Ireland by providing them with an introduction to the more important aspects of establishing and operating in this country".
Mary Walsh, Partner, PwC and editor of the publication added:
"The publication is an easy-to-follow reference source providing an introduction to the tax and financial incentives available in Ireland as well as a summary of the legal and commercial environment for doing business in Ireland. It also describes the investment climate in Ireland and provides information on the labour market and its legal framework.
