PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Cyprus is hosting the PwC Eurofirms Football Tournament on 13 and 14 October 2007 at Tsirion Stadium in Limassol and its supporting playgrounds.
Theo Parperis, partner of PwC Cyprus and Leader of the Cyprus team, said: “We are proud for hosting this year’s tournament in Cyprus which gives us the opportunity to promote the cultural wealth and the modern dynamics of our country”.
The efforts of the organising committee aim to a flawless preparation of a football celebration which will host employees of PwC from 17 countries with male and female teams. The participating countries are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland and Turkey. The members and supporters of the foreign teams count around 500 people who will stay at various hotels in Limassol.
With the people and families, clients and friends of PwC in Cyprus we are expecting to have around 2000 people at the football grounds during the two days.
An internal micro-site has already been built and opened to all participating countries giving information about Cyprus: short history, culture, climate, demographics and other details for the tournament.
As the Chief Executive Officer of the Cyprus firm, Mr Phidias Pilides, noted "Events like this, give the opportunity to the people in the organisation from many countries to meet each other, make stronger connections and share knowledge, experiences, and new innovative ideas which help our clients meet the challenges ahead.
