PricewaterhouseCoopers Ireland (PwC) has been named as one of the Top 10 Companies to Work for in Europe according to the 'Best Workplaces in Europe' 2008 listing. The results, published in the Financial Times on 28 May, follow a competitive process which included more than 1,250 companies and 100,000 employees throughout Europe.
This announcement follows PwC recently being awarded 1st place in the 'Best Company To Work For in Ireland' 2008 and also being named as Ireland's 'Most Popular Graduate Recruiter' 2008 and topping the 'Finance and Financial Services' Graduate Recruiter 2008 category.
PwC is the first and only Irish professional services firm to have achieved such accolades.

About the surveys
A random selection of PwC people completed a confidential questionnaire to gather their views as part of the Best Companies study. The questionnaire contained almost 60 questions covering such areas as communication, training & development, pride, work-life balance, diversity and teamwork in the workplace. Based on responses, PwC is ranked in 1st place in the 'Best Companies To Work For in Ireland' 2008.
Some 10,000 undergraduates registered their vote as part of the Ireland's 'Most Popular Graduate Recruiter' to recognise both the strength and excellence associated with training & development, internship and work experience. Based on their votes, PwC was voted as Ireland's 'Most Popular Graduate Recruiter' 2008 and winner of the 'Finance and Financial Services' category.
The List of the Best Workplaces in Europe is based on national Best Workplaces studies carried our across Europe. Participants in all countries are evaluated with the same methodology and the European List is created on the same criteria as national lists. Some 1250 companies participated in the 2008 competition. PwC Ireland is ranked as one of the Top 10 'Best Workplaces in Europe' 2008.
