Eight new partners at PricewaterhouseCoopers

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ireland’s leading professional services firm, today announces the admission of eight new partners with effect from 1 July 2007.

Speaking at the announcement, Donal O’Connor, Senior Partner, PwC said:

Our eight new partners will strengthen the partnership team and add to the breadth and depth of our service offering to our clients in key areas".

In response to continued strong demand, especially from North American clients, for investment and business opportunities in Ireland, Liam Diamond becomes a partner in our Tax and Inward Investment practice. Liam will focus on advising US and Canadian MNCs on the tax and legal issues and opportunities when doing business and investing in Ireland. Liam will also oversee PwC’s Irish Tax Desk based in our New York office.

Our Advisory practice grows from strength to strength with increased demand from clients across all markets. Richard Day becomes a partner specialising in financial reporting processes and systems and the effective use of technology including databases, spreadsheets and XBRL. Richard will lead this growing area servicing principally Financial Services, Technology and Communications clients.

Investment Management continues to be an area of very strong growth with Joanne Kelly becoming a partner servicing this important sector. She will work with clients in both the domestic and international market focusing on mutual and hedge fund products.

Reflecting continued strong demand from clients in the Consumer and Industrial Productssector, Thérèse Cregg will provide assurance and business advisory services to indigenous and international clients. James McNally will advise on international tax planning and structuring, with particular emphasis on Pharmaceuticals, Petroleum and Intellectual Property.

In response to the continued strong activity by privately owned Irish companies and the Not-for-Profit sector, John Dunne becomes a partner in our Business and Wealthgroup providing assurance and business advisory services.

Susan Kilty becomes a partner in our Technology, Information, Communications and Entertainment and Media practice, providing corporate tax services to a range of domestic and international clients operating in these key sectors.

We continue to invest in our regional practices. Following continued growth in the region, Ronan Furlong becomes a tax partner in our South East practice heading up a team of over twenty tax practitioners in the Waterford, Wexford and Kilkenny offices providing taxation advice to indigenous and multinational clients.
