Sang-Tai Choi, as the managing partner, leads the Transactions and Financial Advisory Services (TS/FAS) practices in Korea. ST’s career at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers began more than 25 years ago and includes a brief 2 year tour in PwC’s Los Angeles office. During his career, ST had advised clients on cross-border offerings and deals alike.
Prior to leading the TS/FAS practices, ST led the Assurance practice, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission practice, and the Transactions Services practice in Korea. ST actively participates in the professional rule setting processes as a board member of the Korea Accounting Standards Board and is also a member of the Operational Committee for Internal Accounting Control System in Korea.
ST is a member of both the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Administration from Korea University.
