On 2 April 2008, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Urban Land Institute held a joint conference titled “Emerging Trends in Real Estate Europe 2008”. Opening this annual event, Chuck DiRocco from Urban Land Institute presented the results of the study Emerging Trends in Real Estate Europe 2008, conducted by the ULI and PricewaterhouseCoopers at the end of 2007. In his presentation, Mr. DiRocco reflected on:

  • Recent development and investment trends;
  • Top real estate markets to watch in Europe;
  • Perspectives on key property sectors: retail, hotels, industrial, residential and office;
  • Trends in real estate finance and capital raising.
The panel discussions focused on the Emerging Trends survey results and IPO opportunities for Russian property developers, leading to an active discussion between the audience and the panel members.

This half-day event took place at the Renaissance Hotel Moscow and attracted a record number of over 420 delegates from Alfa Bank, VTB, BSGV, Capital Group, MIRAX-Group, Cushman & Wakefield Stiles & Riabokobylko, Norilsk Nickel, Renaissance Capital, Troika Dialog, URALSIB and other leading companies.

The conference also attracted a significant media attention.
