PricewaterhouseCoopers and World Economic Forum held a discussion panel “Agenda for Davos Forum 2007: The place and role of Russia” on 16 March 2007.

  • What was an impression from Russia on the World Economic Forum?
  • Official appearances and communication in the corridors – what are the key factors of the country image forming?
  • What did the Davos give to the participants and to the country?
  • Should the government and the business coordinate their efforts for better presentation of Russia in the Davos?
On the event you could hear the opinions on these topics of the participants of the Davos Forum: economists, heads of the companies and representatives of the government structures.

Tatiana Lysova, Chief Editor of Vedomosti newspaper, Olga Dergunova, President of Microsoft in Russia and CIS and permenent participant of the Davos Forum, Alexander Izosimov, General Director of Vympelcom, shared their impressions from the Davos. Kirill Androsov, Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation told about the participation of the government delegation in the Forum.

Thierry Malleret, Senior Director, Head of the Global Risks Group, at the World Economic Forum, John Hawksworth, Head of Macroeconomics at PricewaterhouseCoopers and author of The World in 2050, and Wolfgang Wagner, Senior Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, made their view “from the outside” on how Russia looks in the eyes of Eastern Community and what the World is waiting for from Russia.

Also among the participant of the discussions there were Sergey Prikhodko, Executive Director of the Institute for the Economy in Transition, Oleg Viugin, Head of the Federal Financial Markets Service, Vitaly Podolsky, Chief Financial Officer of X5 Retail Group, Eldar Razroev, President of Euroset.
