Results of the Global Competitiveness Report: 2006-2007

With its accession to the European Union, Cyprus faces a new complex environment and the great challenge of intense competition. The integration of the competitiveness dimension is of paramount importance in every aspect of the financial activities of our country.

The results of the Global Competitiveness Report 2006-2007 (www.weforum.org/en/initiatives/gcp/Global%20Competitiveness%20Report/index.html) were announced on 27 September 2006. The partner institutes for carrying out the survey in Cyprus, the Cyprus Development Bank (www.cdb.com) and the Cyprus College (www.cycollege.ac.cy), with the support of PricewaterhouseCoopers, have organised a special event on 20 November 2006 at Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm to present and discuss the results of the report.
