Does greater connectivity increase the risk that local difficulties will turn into global disasters? Or does it provide opportunities to diversify and thus dilute the dangers? The preliminary evidence suggests that it may actually do both; a connected world is more vulnerable to risk, but it offers more opportunities for diversification. Comparison of the results of our 10th and 11th Annual Global CEO Surveys shows that the percentage of CEOs "somewhat" or "very" concerned about global risks has fallen in the past 12 months.
