Using the PricewaterhouseCoopers
Global Automotive Shareholder Value Indices, this award recognizes companies for their exemplary shareholder value performance in each of the three segments over the period of one or three years. The three elements of the value chain are considered separately, namely, Global Vehicle Manufacturers, Global Parts Suppliers, and US Retailers.
These returns have been adjusted to take into account currency movements so that all returns are based on values converted into US Dollars.
The 2007 Global Shareholder Value Award winners were presented on 23 January, 2008 at the Automotive News World Congress Gala dinner, in Detroit, Michigan. The eighth annual European Shareholder Value Awards will be presented on 20 May, 2008 at the Automotive News Europe Congress in Turin, Italy.
