The Power of 10 and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees
The collaborative relationship between the PricewaterhouseCoopers global network ("PwC") and the UNHCR began in 2004 at the time of the relief efforts associated with the Indian Ocean tsunami. The relationship continued during 2005, when PwC and UNHCR jointly formed the Council of Business Leaders, a group of private sector senior executives who lend support to UNHCR activities. Now, with the Power of 10, PwC and the UNHCR are teaming up to raise money to build schools, train teachers, and provide educational supplies for more than 20,000 refugee children in Eastern Chad.
