Partners and staff from PwC Buffalo volunteered their time to help build two new homes and renovate a home in Buffalo, New York. The volunteers established several teams to perform the work, which included installing electric wiring, carpentry work, painting, installing window shutters, vinyl siding, general clean-up of the yards, and various other projects. In addition, PwC volunteers helped to make one of the houses handicap accessible. A ramp was built to access the home and existing doorframes were widened to enable a wheelchair to fit through the entranceways.
Participating in the Habitat project really brought out the teamwork in everyone. We felt proud to have contributed our time and talents to serve those in our community.
