Any PwC trainee will tell you that life at the firm is about more than just the work we do. There are a whole variety of activities and events during the course of the year and the team ethos that’s so evident in our working lives comes out when we’re enjoying ourselves too.
When you join the firm, you’ll not only find yourself part of a thriving graduate community, you’ll also discover that there are many more people in the firm who have similar hobbies and interests as you. Whether it’s football or wine tasting and whatever your level of experience, there are teams, clubs and social events that cater for everyone.
Our Sports Day sees teams from all departments compete against each other in a series of events, before relaxing in the evening with a barbeque and disco. The PwC Golf Society organises a number of outings per year, including a weekend away which non-golfers also attend. Soccer is a popular sport within the firm and recent tournaments have been held in Portugal, Luxembourg and Sweden and this year in Cyprus. We also have plenty of rugby and tennis players, canoeists, horse riders, skiers and yoga fanatics.
If you’re a budding performer, you’d have enjoyed the Stars in their Eyes event we organised in both 2004 and 2006. Competitors included ‘Bob Marley’, ‘Girls Aloud’ and ‘Robbie Williams’! If your interests are of a more intellectual nature, you may prefer our Annual Table Quiz, in which 100 teams compete for prizes in a pub-style contest.
