Learning and development

Technical skills and professional qualifications are just part of our commitment to high quality learning and development. Right from the start, you’ll also have access to a wide range of training courses that will help you develop the softer skills you need to deal with clients, manage your time and lead others. As your career progresses within the firm, these skills will also provide a firm foundation for your ongoing development.

When you first join us, we’ll make sure you have a thorough induction that introduces you to people from a variety of departments and equips you with the technical and IT skills that are needed for your particular role. From then on, your learning and development will be a mix of on-the-job coaching, mentoring and formal training programmes.

These formal training programmes are designed, developed and delivered by our in-house Centre for Learning and Development. This is basically a network of learning and development teams which span our various lines of service and offer training in the following five areas: Management Skills; Business and Professional Skills; Interpersonal Skills; Eurofirm/Global Programmes; and Health and Wellbeing.

The following selection will give you an idea of the breadth of skills you can develop:

At every stage throughout your career, whether you’re looking to enhance your general business and management skills or industry-specific knowledge, the firm will always do its best to help you. There’s a formal process in place that involves setting objectives in an annual plan and obtaining regular feedback on your assignments. We’ll also make sure your performance is measured properly in an annual performance appraisal.
