Bill McFarland, BCom Hons, CA

On July 1, 2005, Bill became one of two National Managing Partners of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Canada. As a National Managing Partner, he is a member of the Canadian Executive team and oversees the Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver offices, as well as the Audit and Assurance Group, the Financial Services practice, the National Top Tier Program (top 60 accounts of the Canadian firm), sales, marketing, and knowledge management teams.

Bill's key focus as National Managing Partner will be on further developing PwC's relationships with the business community, increasing the firm's market penetration, and ensuring that our clients receive quality services and leading industry expertise.

As a past leader of our Greater Toronto Area Audit and Assurance practice, Bill brings to his position years of experience with public companies and SEC registrants. He has been the lead audit and relationship partner on several multinational audit clients, and will continue to act as the lead partner on a large global financial services client.

Bill holds an Honours degree in Commerce from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Accountant. He has significant boardroom experience and a proven understanding of public company reporting issues. He has served on the board of a number of charities, and is also a hockey coach and avid sports enthusiast. Today he lives in the GTA with his wife and three sons.
