Yael Gerassi serves as a partner in the Technical Unit - Accounting of Kesselman & Kesselman, Certified Public Accountants, which is part of the international accounting network of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Yael joined Kesselman & Kesselman CPA some ten years ago and is currently a partner in the Technical Unit - Accounting, leading the firm’s study and research of accounting and financial reporting topics and the ongoing developments in this field. In this capacity, she is also responsible for imparting this knowledge to the firm’s accounting staff, clients and other outside parties. She also provides to the firm's accounting stuff her expertise on domestic and international technical issues.
Yael has considerable experience in reviewing financial statements and prospectuses, including those of companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States and Europe (specializing in hi-tech companies). In addition to her knowledge of Israeli Yael Gerassi
GAAP, Yael has expertise in US GAAP and IFRS.
During 2005, Yael served as a senior manager in the Technical Department of the UK firm’s (PwC UK) head office in London. As part of her work there, Yael was involved in the initial IFRS adoption process by various UK public companies.
Yael has authored a number of professional articles and client updates that have been Issued as part of the Israeli firm's publications, as well as reviews for the local financial press (Globes Research).
Yael is a distinguished and highly-respected teacher of undergraduate financial and accounting courses at the Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Management and courses. Yael also gives lectures in the 4th year financial accounting courses that prepare students to sit for the exams of the Israeli Auditors Council.
After completing her studies, Yael served as a teaching assistant in the course
"Managerial Accounting" of the MBA program.
Yael has been a member of the technical sub-committee of the Israel Accounting Standards Board since 1998, and also serves on Kesselman & Kesselman’s technical committees.
Yael is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed by the Israel Accountants' Council.
Yael holds a BA in accounting and economics and an MBA in finance and marketing (magna cum laude). Both degrees were awarded by the Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Management.
