On Thursday 20th March 2008, Sydney hosted the first Master of Business session for 2008, on the topic of Funding for Growth and Profit. Hosted by Kate Julius, Partner and facilitator - PCS, and introduced by Doug McCluskey, National Managing Partner - PCS, three panel members shared their insights and experiences on this topic, with over 110 people in attendance. The panel consisted of:
- Don Grover, CEO - Dymocks Groups of Companies
- Andrew Birch, CEO - NetReturn Pty Ltd
- Tim Scanlan, General Manager, Strategy and Legal - The Riviera Group.
Each of the panellists illustrated the need to have a clear plan and direction for any business looking to fund for growth. They also stressed the importance of aligning funder and investor interests in the case of a potential downturn. Keeping a discipline and robustness to company Financials for businesses, they outlined, is very important when seeking funding.
