Climate
These are tropical islands located about 19°N of the Equator. The hottest time of the year is from May to October when temperatures range from 75 to 92°F(24 to 33°C); with mid-day readings being around 90°F(32°C). This is also the rainy season and humidity can be uncomfortably high. It is cooler from November to April when the northeast breezes reduce the temperatures to a range from 65 to 80°F(18 to 27°C). Showers can be very heavy, although fairly short-lived and some local flooding does occur for a short time after these tropical storms.
Population
The population of the Islands is approximately 45,000. The main language is English. Spanish is spoken frequently as a second language. Over 92 different nationalities are represented in Cayman.
