Crossing Greenland

PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Climate Change Services team is proud to announce the sponsorship of Flip Byrnes in her pursuit to Cross Greenland. Flip will trek 650km unsupported from Kulusuk to Ilulissat (east to west) across the Greenland icecap raising awareness of climate change issues.

Undertaking this route will be an Australian first, and Flip will be only the second Australian woman to have crossed Greenland.

On the 650km journey Flip will ski the first 250km reaching the peak of Greenland. She will then use the prevailing winds to kite ski the remaining 400km to reach her destination of Ilulissat. The trip will commence in late April and will take approximately 18 days. If there is no wind then the trip will take up to 32 days.

We wish Flip a safe and successful journey as she crosses Greenland.
