What is an RSS feed?
RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites. According to Wikipedia, RSS (which, in its latest format, stands for "Really Simple Syndication") is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed," "web feed," or "channel," contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.
Websites that support RSS usually show the RSS icon . There are several ways to subscribe.
How to subscribe?
- RSS content can be read using software called a "feed reader" or an "aggregator."
- The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.

- Depending on the RSS reader you have, there are various ways to add the feed, such as copying the URL as a shorcut (right clic over the link and select "copy shortcut") and pasting it.

- All you have to do is click on the orange-colored RSS symbol at the right end of the domain address bar, as shown within the adjoining image. If your browser version is 2.0 or higher, you can read the feed directly. If you are using an older version, you can file the feed as a "dynamic bookmark". Such bookmarks are dynamically updated at regular intervals.
