July 2009 – Audience with Her Majesty Queen Sofía in the La Zarzuela Palace

Her Majesty the Queen, Sofía, received the Board of Trustees of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Foundation on 8 July on the occasion of the collaboration agreement signed by the PwC Foundation and the Reina Sofía Foundation.

November 2009 – 4th Dialogue and Action Congress

4th Dialogue and Action Congress

As part of the programme of agreements concluded by the PwC Foundation, last year a collaboration agreement was reached with the Bertelsmann Foundation which has materialised in the sponsorship of the 4th Dialogue and Action Congress held on 4 November in Madrid and presided over by HRH King Juan Carlos, with the participation, among other well-known figures, of the Spanish Minister of Education and Culture.

September 2009 – PwC Foundation awarded with the Madrid City Council's “Muévete verde” award

The Mobility Foundation of the Madrid City Council has granted PwC the  “Muévete verde”  award to energy efficiency thanks to the work  carried out by the PwC Foundation on  “Reducing and measuring our carbon footprint”, coordinated by  Mari Luz Castilla.

July 2009 – The Pricewaterhousecoopers Foundation receives the Medal of the Down Syndrome Foundation

July 2009 – Second PwC Foundation Award: “The Spanish Company in a Global World”

On 16 July last, the panel of judges was convened for the presentation of the work of the finalists competing for the 2nd PwC Foundation Award, which this year went to Rodrigo Martínez Díez from the University of Barcelona. The panel also awarded two second prizes, one to José Molina Machuca from the Universidad Pablo Olavide in Sevilla and the other to Ana García de Castro of the Jesús de Córdoba University Institution.
