Kätlin Kiudsoo is a specialist counsel at the competition and energy law practice of PwC Legal Estonia.
For the past 6 years Kätlin has been advising clients on different competition law matters.
Before joining PwC Legal, Kätlin was a senior associate at Attorneys at Law Borenius where she advised clients in numerous M&A cases on merger control issues. Kätlin has been a part of most of the complicated merger control cases known in Estonia and has successfully managed to gain numerous positive results for her clients. The merger clearance cases have involved various business areas from information technology to agriculture.
Kätlin has actively advised clients in cartel proceedings and successfully defended clients in the court. In addition, Kätlin has vast experience in structuring transactions and coordinating the activities of businesses in order to avoid and eliminate any current or potential future competition law risks.
Kätlin is a highly recognized speaker in competition law matters. Kätlin does in-house competition law compliance trainings on an ongoing basis.
Kätlin has vast knowledge and ample practice in advising clients on energy and environmental law matters. Kätlin’s expertise includes advising clients on the construction and operation of numerous power plants and assessment of possible legal risks that accompany these activities. Kätlin has also been advising clients on environmental law infringement matters.
Kätlin has obtained an LLM degree specializing in competition law from the University of Maastricht and is currently improving her knowledge in competition law specializing in economic analysis at King’s College in London. Every year Kätlin takes part in international competition law specialist training programs and has been an author of several articles on Estonian competition law, including international publications and books.
