Summary of experience

Mark McCaffrey, based in San Jose, is a partner in PwC’s Technology practice and serves as the Global Software Industry Leader for the Firm.

He has served multinational software and internet companies for over twenty years and has spent the past 17 years in the Silicon Valley serving a variety of public and venture backed companies. Today, in addition to his Global Software Industry Leader role, Mark serves as the global engagement partner (GEP) on several of our largest multinational software clients managing all global services provided by PwC to those companies. In addition to serving these companies, Mark, also has extensive experience working with clients on mergers and acquisition transactions or to register debt or equity securities within the United States. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has developed and presented several workshops to Silicon Valley financial and operational executives and board members. Mark hosts the Global Software CFO dinner three times a year which brings together the top software and internet CFO's in the world to discuss industry themes around financial, operational and regulatory aspects of their business. Mark is also the Software and Internet Industry Leader for the Silicon Valley Market and has participated in several of the Firm’s thought leadership initiatives, including the hosting of the Software Revenue Recognition Boot Camp, development of the Adoption of AS 5 for Software Companies course, the Firm's paper on Software Pricing Trends, the Firm's Software 100 Survey and the User Friendly Guide to Software Revenue Recognition.

Mark received his Bachelor of Administration in Accounting, Lubin School of Business, Pace University. Mark is a Licensed CPA in the States of New York and California and a Member of the American institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also on the Dean's Advisory Board, College of Business and Economics, California State University. Mark is a Board Member, Treasurer and Audit Committee Chairman of the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose.
