Vaughn Kauffman

Vaughn Kauffman is a Principal in PwC's Health Industries Advisory Services and co-leads the National Payer Advisory practice. Vaughn has served a variety of health insurers and health care providers over the past 20 years focused on information technology (IT) and business operations. He has worked with the top national health plans, regional Blue Cross / Blue Shield plans and hospital systems on enterprise-wide business and IT initiatives.

Vaughn is the author of a study on the impacts of consumerism on the healthcare industry and how health insurers play a central role in controlling expenses and improving quality. His recent work includes examining health care reform and the advancements in health care information technology and social influences to identify ways to achieve efficiencies across the health care value chain and improve the quality and accountability of care.

Vaughn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a concentration in computer information systems from Indiana University.
