Mark Avery

Mark Avery specializes in Governance Risk and Compliance matters including enterprise wide risk assessments, internal control reviews, business process redesign, financial reporting, regulatory compliance and litigation support matters. Mark’s focus is on the impact of risk on organizations and how those risks are mitigated by people, process and technology. Mark’s current role includes creating enterprise wide solutions for Providers required to adopt the ICD-10 code set. He serves on a national center of excellence team focused on providing tools and methodology around the people, process and technology changes associated with the change from ICD-9 to ICD-10.

Prior to joining the Healthcare Advisory Practice Mark was an audit Manager for PwC trained in the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) Integrated framework of internal controls. He has served in the Business Assurance directorate and developed COSO and internal control related training materials for use firm wide.
