PwC Manhattan Lodging Index: Q3 2012

In the third quarter, Manhattan's average daily rate ("ADR") growth stagnated, while occupancy levels continued to show improvements, albeit at a decelerated pace, resulting in a modest increase in revenue per available room ("RevPAR").

During the third quarter of 2012, Manhattan's occupancy levels increased 1.7 percent to 89.2 percent, continuing to show signs of the deceleration witnessed in the second quarter.

ADR growth, which had been robust in recent quarters, showed signs of deceleration, increasing just 0.4 percent. This combination led to a 2.2 percent increase in RevPAR in the third quarter, compared to year-ago levels.
