What is the KYC tool and how does it work?
What type of entities does the system cater to?
For the time being the Tool caters for Limited liability Companies, Partnerships, Trusts and Foundations, regulated entities and listed entities. Additional profiles will be catered for.
Which legislation does the tool cover?
The Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism Regulations. The tool also takes into account the guidance provided in the Implementing Procedures issued by the FIAU.
Will the software be updated with new requirements & communications issued by the FIAU?
Yes, as part of the subscription, enhancements and changes will be implemented and made available to all subject persons making use of KeYCompliance.
What are the system requirements?
In order to access the KYC tool you will need a modern web browser: Internet Explorer 9 or later, Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Safari. We strongly recommend you use one of the newer versions of Internet Explorer to take advantage of all the sites features. An internet connection is also required.
Registration and Payment
What information do I need to enter when I register the first time?
At registration stage the following process needs to be undertaken:
When do I pay for the service?
When you input the required information, you will be redirected to the payment page. When the payment is successful, the user and company will be automatically created and you will receive an email with the details.
What is the minimum subscription period?
The minimum subscription period is of 1 year.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major Credit Cards through our payment gateway.
My payment was not accepted, what do I do?
There may be some problem with the payment gateway. Please try again later. If the problem persists, kindly contact us on email@example.com
I can't register because my data has already been registered. What can I do?
This means that the email used is registered in the system and is already assigned to a company. Please register using a different email address.
Can I upgrade to a different plan or tailor the plan to suit my needs?

How do I access my account?
Users need to login into the system using the following link: www.pwcmalta.com/KYC
What do I do if I forget my password?
To request a new password, click on "Forgot password?". You will be sent an e-mail with the instruction to reset your password
Who is the owner of the data?
You retain the ownership of the content you input and upload in the KeYCompliance tool
Where will my data be hosted?
The data is stored within European Union (EU) territory through our hosting partners.
Is my data secure?
We put a great effort into ensuring that our service operates in a secure and safe environment for your data. Our hosting partners are ISO 27001 certified, conduct periodical SAS70 Type II audits and produce Service Organization Controls 1 (SOC 1), Type 2 reports, published under both the SSAE 16 and the ISAE 3402 professional standards as well as Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) reports.
Will my data be backed up?
We adhere to best practice policies and procedures to prevent loss of Content, including a daily system Content back-up regime. This backup will be available daily for a fortnight, weekly for four weeks, monthly for twelve months.
Would I be able to restore information, if I accidentally delete something?
Yes. Please send an email to email@example.com requesting restoration of data
Is there a risk that someone can access the data residing under my company?
No. Controls are in place at user level. Each user is assigned to a company, and can only access the company data one is assigned to.
How is my password stored?
All passwords are encrypted using SHA-512 and then salted using SHA-1 PRNG
Can someone access my data during transfers?
No. All data between your browser and our servers are encrypted through a 256 bit SSL certificate.
When will my service be terminated?
Your service will be automatically terminated if you do not renew your subscription. Reminders and notices will be sent before the subscription
Can I terminate my service prematurely?
Yes, you can terminate your service before the billing term ends but any remaining period is non-refundable.

What happens to my data when I terminate the service?
For a period of up to 60 days from the date of termination, you may request PwC to retrieve your content and forward it to you in electronic format.
