Delphi – because we do not have a crystal ball

Geographical origin of panellists

The usual Delphi forecasting procedure takes place in the form of an anonymous, written, multi-stage survey process, where feedback of group opinion is provided after each round. Our survey employed a new version of the Delphi technique developed by the European Business School. This innovative Internet-based, RealTime survey increases the validity of results by streamlining the classical procedure and making the whole process more interesting and comfortable for the surveyed experts.

Our Delphi panel – we entered into a dialogue with a diverse mix of transport infrastructure practitioners to ensure a well-balanced perspective for our thought leadership:

  • 104 panellists from 29 countries on 5 continents
  • 29% transport infrastructure operators/developers; 27% transport infrastructure users; 24% academics; 11% associations and 9% politics
  • 62% from developed markets, 38% from developing markets
  • Continuous coaching for panellists available throughout the process
