Cam Matheson was appointed Acting Executive Vice-President of Customer Care & Conservation in January 2010. He joined BC Hydro in 1998 and has held senior management positions in Generation Operations, Generation Environment, Power Facilities, and Aboriginal Relations and Negotiations. Prior to his current role, Cam was Director of Energy Planning and was responsible for developing the company’s long term acquisition plans (LTAP), demand and market forecasting, transmission planning and interconnections, and the regulatory applications associated with them.
Prior to coming to BC Hydro, Cam held executive positions with the Canadian Red Cross. He specialized in conflict and disaster relief and worked extensively around the world on relief operations.
Cam holds degrees in International Relations and Law and is an executive member of the Canadian Hydropower Association Board of Directors.
