Chip Dillon is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse serving as the Senior North American Paper and Packaging Industry Analyst in the Equity Research Department. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and consistently ranks highly in the major polls/surveys of United States Paper and Packaging Analysts, including a No. 1 ranking on eight occasions in the Institutional Investor poll. In addition, Chip is the only United States Paper and Forest Products Analyst to be inducted into the Wall Street Journal Analyst “Hall of Fame”.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse in March 2009, Chip covered the industry for 16 years at Citigroup Investment Research. He also covered the industry at First Manhattan Co. and, on the buy side, at J.P. Morgan Investment Management. Prior to earning his MBA, Chip was associated with Bankers Trust Company (now part of Deutsche Bank).
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, Chip earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina in 1980, and an MBA from Columbia University in 1986.
