Michael Vermette is a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Advisory Services practice, and a Senior Vice President of PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., the Firm’s corporate restructuring practice based in our Vancouver office. Mike joined the firm in 1985.
Mike is responsible for the firm’s Corporate Advisory & Restructuring (“CAR”) practice in Vancouver and is the national leader of the CAR Forestry practice. He has over 20 years of public practice experience in the areas of financial restructurings, business turnaround, corporate finance, and forensic investigations. These assignments have been completed on behalf of financial institutions, company management and various levels of government in respect of companies in a wide range of industries with particular focus on the Forest Products Sector.
Mike is also past President of the British Columbia Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals, and a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Commerce at Carleton University in 1985 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1987. He is also a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional and a Trustee in Bankruptcy.
