Arno Pouw is the leader for the Advisory practice in the Netherlands, an appointment he took up from 1 July 2004, additionally being appointed to the Managing Board of PwC Netherlands from 1 July 2006, where he represents Advisory and acts as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
He has also been a member of the Central Cluster Executive team (since summer 2008) responsible for Advisory and part of the Global Advisory Leadership Team.
Arno started his career as audit senior in 1985 with Coopers & Lybrand in Rotterdam and graduated as chartered accountant in 1987. He was admitted to partnership on 1 January 1993. The first 7 years he worked as an audit engagement partner for clients such as Robeco Investment funds, Rodamco Real estate and several insurance companies.
In 1999 he was appointed as X-LoS Industry leader for Financial Services (FS) in the Dutch practice and fulfilled GRP roles on Rabobank and Aegon. Later on he also became a member of the Global FS leadership team. He was the lead audit partner on Delta Lloyd (subsidiary of Aviva) and Van der Moolen (Euronext listed market maker). For Rabobank, SNS Reaal Group and Dexia he did several due diligence assignments, both in The Netherlands and abroad (Germany, Turkey, Indonesia and Chile) as well as Consulting assignments.
During FY11 and FY12 Arno was involved in the Catalyst merger of the Austrian, German and Dutch PwC firms. On 1 December 2011 the Dutch Advisory practice acquired TruEconomy, a supply chain consulting boutique and Proxyon, a SAP financial close consulting shop.
Arno is based in Amsterdam.
