January 24, 2008 - Tomáš Horáèek (37) was appointed to lead PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) team in the Czech Republic. He will be responsible for expanding our successful M&A practice further and assisting both Czech and international clients with their investments in the Czech Republic and the CEE region.
“My focus at PwC will include positioning the firm as a long term trusted advisor to successful privately owned companies, assisting these companies in their expansion within and beyond the Czech market, advising the owners when they decide to exit, and supporting our initiatives around Private Equity in the region and our efforts to further build up our cross border M&A business”, said Tomáš Horáèek.
Tomáš has 14 years of investment banking and management consulting experience in CEE gained as Head of M&A for the Czech Republic at ING Barings and as a management consultant at the CEE Financial Institution Practices of Deloitte&Touche and KPMG. In his own business, Tomáš has advised payment card companies in CEE.
Tomáš has a Master’s degree in Finance from the Prague School of Economics and holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He enjoys travelling, fine arts, and sports, namely skiing and tennis.
